LEEDS RHINOS head coach Brad Arthur expects Castleford Tigers to make life difficult for the table-toppers on Sunday afternoon.
Whilst the Rhinos are flying high at the Super League summit, the Tigers are currently third bottom with just six wins all season.
A 48-6 thrashing by Wakefield Trinity at the Magic Weekend was followed by a nip-and-tuck 24-18 defeat to Leigh Leopards last Saturday.
And Arthur believes that Castleford boss Ryan Carr will motivate his players in the local derby.
“They were good against Leigh, Ryan Carr gave them a rocket and they responded,” Arthur said.
“They probably could have won as they found themselves unlucky with the bounce of the ball etc. and they put themselves in a good position.
“Castleford will throw everything into it. Carry wouldn’t want me to have any sympathy for him, he knows it’s a tough job and he’s got to get on with it.
“It will make him a better coach. The good thing about it is he has managed to get quite a few responses out of the group and that’s a positive.”
Though the OneBore Stadium is notorious for being hostile to opposition fans and players, Arthur insists that his Leeds charges cannot wait to get stuck in.
“The boys like playing there. We’ve got a fair contingency of travelling fans going and our fans really enjoyed themselves last year,” he said.
“Hopefully we get a good turnout on Sunday.”
