BRAD ARTHUR declared Leeds Rhinos’ 46-0 win over Toulouse Olympique as “the closest we’ve been to an 80-minute performance”.
Leeds maintained their two-point buffer at the top of the table with a 17th win from 21 this season and a tenth in as many home games.
As they target Old Trafford, the search for perfection continues – but Arthur’s charges weren’t too far off.
“They delivered in effort and physicality, and the opposition were very good early, which was just what we needed,” said the coach.
“I’m happy with our scramble and in our resilience just before half-time and at the end of the game, turning up for each other, that’s the attitude we’re looking for.
“Our senior players did a really good job. Tom (Holroyd) was unreal off the bench, I needed him to stay out there and he stepped up to the challenge.
“I was relying on the team to make sure I could give Zak (Lloyd, debutant) good minutes and they did that – he didn’t look out of place. Where I can I try to share the workload.”
