Leeds Rhinos name cup final squad

Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott has named his 19-man squad for the Challenge Cup Final against Castleford Tigers, with Stevie Ward and Mitch Achurch the two men included alongside the 17 players McDermott named on Monday.

The Rhinos boss took the unusual step of naming his team five days before the final, a move which caught many reporters by surprise. And following on from that, the traditional squad announcement 48 hours before the game sees Ward and Achurch make the trip alongside the team named by McDermott.

Leeds Rhinos 19-man squad for Challenge Cup Final:
Hardaker, Briscoe, Moon, Watkins, Hall, McGuire, Sinfield, Peacock, Burrow, Leuluai, Jones-Buchanan, Ablett Delaney.
Subs: Kirke, Bailey, Sutcliffe, Aiton.
Extra: Achurch, Ward.
