Leeds Rhinos rocked by Paul Aiton blow

Leeds Rhinos have suffered another huge injury blow, as their hooker Paul Aiton will be out of action for up to three months.

Just days after it was revealed Jamie Jones-Buchanan will miss a similar period of time, the Rhinos are set to lose the Papua New Guinea international for a significant chunk of the season after it was revealed he needs medication for a condition which has kept him sidelined for the last two weeks.

Chief Executive Gary Hetherington commented: “Paul is desperately disappointed because he feels fit and healthy but after tests and consultation with a specialist he has been advised that he needs a course of medication. He will not be able to play whilst taking this medication until he has made a full recovery. This process is expected to be about 12 weeks, but he will be monitored on a monthly basis.”
