Leigh duo crowned as top points scorers in Championship

The Rugby Football League have revealed that all statistics for the upcoming Qualifiers are separate from the Championship and Super League seasons – meaning that the Leigh duo of Liam Kay and Martyn Ridyard are the respective top scorers for the 2015 season.

With The Qualifiers bringing together two separate divisions, the RFL say the 2015 Kingston Press Championship scoring totals are now regarded as being completed following the conclusion of Round 23; with Liam Kay the top try scorer in the competition.

Former Wakefield winner Kay scored an impressive 33 tries during the regular season, whilst team-mate Ridyard finished as both the top goals and points scorer.

Ridyard slotted 117 goals in the course of the season, whilst also being crowned the top points scorer for the current season.
