Leigh hand Goulden an extended deal

Leigh Centurions have announced that forward Tommy Goulden has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him at the Centurions until the end of the 2016.

Goulden has been at the Centurions until 2010, making 146 appearances for the club and scoring 52 tries.

He will now stay with the club until at least the conclusion of next season.

“If ever a player is a great example to others then Tommy is that man,” coach Paul Rowley said.

“He has adapted to full-time training and really made the most of his opportunity and fully deserves to be rewarded for his efforts with a new contract.

“Through his application to training and playing Tommy has earned the opportunity to be a professional sportsman. He continues to live the dream and play for his home-town club with the courage and pride that he consistently displays.”
