Leigh Leopards’ move for Dolphins halfback Anthony Milford falls through

LEIGH LEOPARDS’ move for Dolphins halfback Anthony Milford has fallen through.

League Express can reveal that the 29-year-old will now not be moving to Super League with the playmaker set to stay with The Dolphins – with whom he has one year left on his contract – for the time being

That means that the Leopards will have to look elsewhere for a new halfback following the exit of Ben Reynolds to Featherstone Rovers.

Elusive halfback Milford began his career with the Canberra Raiders, debuting back in 2013 and going on to make 42 appearances before signing a lucrative deal with the Brisbane Broncos.

142 appearances later, and, following some poor individual performances, Milford exited Brisbane to link with the Newcastle Knights in 2022 before signing for Wayne Bennett’s new NRL prodigy, The Dolphins, for 2023.

However, Milford made just 11 appearances for Bennett’s side last season and has been linked to Leigh for a number of weeks.

That being said, the 29-year-old will be an NRL player in 2024.
