Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont takes jibe at St Helens and Salford Red Devils following Super League play-off losses

LEIGH LEOPARDS owner Derek Beaumont is known for his outspoken nature when it comes to rugby league.

And he was on form once more on social media on Saturday following Leigh’s win over Salford Red Devils and Warrington Wolves’ golden point success over St Helens.

With the Leopards travelling to the Wigan Warriors next weekend and Warrington making the visit to Craven Park to take on Hull KR, there are just four teams left to battle it out for a place at Old Trafford in early October.

But, Beaumont was quick to rub the noses of Salford and Saints fans in their defeats, taking to social media giant X to launch a jibe against the two sides.

Beaumont posted on X: “Hey Fred ⁦@Betfred what’s the odds please on a ⁦@SalfordDevils v ⁦@Saints1890 grand final in the ⁦@SuperLeague⁩ or am I a bit to late just catching up 🙈😂.”
