Hull FC winger Tom Lineham has been left out of the club’s squad to face Catalans Dragons on ‘personal grounds’ – just days after his destination for 2016 was confirmed.
Lineham was revealed to have signed a four-year deal with Warrington for a bumper six-figure transfer fee, ending weeks of speculation over where the winger would play in 2016.
And, with Hull heading to Perpignan for their game against the Dragons on Saturday, Lineham has been omitted – although is expected to return for next week’s game against Leeds.
“We’ve had some tough decisions to make but that’s a nice position to be in,” Head coach Lee Radford told the club’s official website. “It’s great to be healthy and long may that continue.
“It’s important we stay that way and keep competition for places because when the fixtures do come thick and fast we will need to rely on a bit of rotation.”
Hull FC Squad: Abdull, Ellis, Green, Houghton, Michaels, Minichiello, Paea, Paleaaesina, Pryce, Rankin, Sa, Shaul, Sneyd, Talanoa, Thompson, Watts, Westerman, Whiting, Yeaman.
