Jonny Lomax has been passed fit by St Helens ahead of their final Super 8s game with Wakefield.
The full-back, who earned extensive praise from Keiron Cunningham earlier this month, missed Saints’ victory over Widnes at the weekend through injury.
There were some concerns that he could spend a lengthier spell on the sidelines, however, Cunningham confirmed to the media today that the 26-year-old isn’t struggling with a major injury.
“Jonny is fine, we couldn’t risk him. our objective was to get the points and that is what we did.
“We want to put on a real good show this Friday. The fans have been super over the back end of the season. Wakefield will come & play.
“We don’t have a thick squad so we aren’t in a position to rest a lot of players. It is a dry run for the week after.”
