March brothers reunited at Keighley

The March brothers have been reunited at Keighley Cougars for 2015, after boss Paul March has signed brother David on a one-year deal.

David – who led Hunslet to Championship One glory last weekend against Oldham – has signed up for the 2015 season at Cougar Park, and has said that having been part of a side that has tasted success this year, he is keen to replicate the feat with Keighley next year.

“I’m delighted to be joining up with Paul again,” March said.

“He had a very good squad last year and was unlucky to be relegated and most of the squad are staying and I’m looking forward to being part of something special next year.

“I was part of the Championship One winners this year and the feeling was great – and I want to feel that again.”

Boss Paul March said he has been keen to sign his brother for some time, and is delighted that he will finish his career alongside his brother, after starting out together at the beginning of their careers.

“I’ve been wanting David to join us since I took over as coach,” he said. “He’s one of those players you want on your side and not playing against you, he offers so much with ball in hand and is a very strong defender.

He’ll also be a good cover for (Danny) Jonesy in the goal kicking department; we started our careers together and we are going to finish them together hoping to achieve something this year.”
