Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott believes Bradford are a ‘better team’ after watching his Leeds Rhinos side scrape to a 26-12 victory over the Bulls.
James Lowes’ side were 12-10 ahead at the interval and forced Leeds to really up their game to leave victorious.
Four second-half tries secured McDermott’s team the victory, but he was left impressed by the Championship side’s showing at Headingley.
“I thought Bradford were very good,” McDermott told The Telegraph and Argus.
“They defended very well and were very challenging with the ball, without trying to be the Harlem Globetrotters.
“I spoke to Lowesy afterwards and he’s clearly adding things to Bradford and making progress with them.
“They are definitely a better team than they were last season.”
