Castleford Tigers back rower Grant Millington has extended his stay at the club even further by signing another one-year contract extension.
The new deal for the 27-year-old means he will stay with the Tigers until the end of the 2015 season.
Joining the club ahead of the 2012 season, the former Canterbury Bulldogs player has made 44 Super League appearances, scoring seven tries, including one against Bradford Bulls last Sunday.
“Towards the back end of last season I re-signed for 2014 but just before I went back to Australia for the off-season Daryl Powell texted me and mentioned that he was interested in keeping me for another season on top of that,” explained Millington.
“My wife and I went home and had a chat about it and we couldn’t think of any reason not to so we are really happy to be here for 2015 too.
“The feeling around the club at the moment is great. The first two seasons were a little bit of a struggle, although towards the end of last season things really picked up for us.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here; it’s a family club and everyone is here to help everyone else so I’m happy to be here for a bit longer.”
Castleford Tigers’ Head Coach Daryl Powell added: “I have been hugely impressed with Grant as a leader and a player during my time at the club.
“He is a natural rugby league player with a great instinct for the game. His contract extension gives us further stability moving forward and I am delighted his stay at the club has been extended.”
