Retiring Warrington hooker Michael Monaghan will take up a coaching role with a rival Super League club in the next few days.
The Australian, who played his last game against Wigan on Friday, told the Warrington Guardian: “I’ve got my first coaching job, so I’ll be heading off to do that.
“It’s not been announced yet, but in the coming days I’ll probably let everyone know what’s going on.
“The job is over here. I would have liked to have stayed at Warrington but there isn’t an opportunity for me so I’ve found something elsewhere in Super League and I’m looking forward to that challenge in the next phase of my career.”
