Noble: Element of “unknown” will be exciting

Former Great Britain boss Brian Noble believes an element of “unknown” in the new League restructure planned for 2015 will add a new dimension of excitement.

In the new plans (click here for more detail), Super League and Championship clubs will play 23 games in two divisions of 12 before splitting into three pools of eight to decide promotion, relegation and honours.

The restructure has split opinion due to its complex nature – especially on our forum! – but Noble sees that as a good thing.

“I’m excited by the fact that I don’t quite understand it,” Noble said on the BBC’s Super League Show.

“The formula that they [Rugby Football League] have drifted upon and worked through looks like a winner.

“There are some exciting games, there are conundrums that people can’t work out. The debate that it is going to create, and excitement that it will create, is there to be seen.”
