The North West Men’s League’s Finals Festivals weekend is just a couple of days away, and the fixtures have been ratified for the action at Victoria Park, Warrington.
Blackbrook beat Halton Simms Cross 30-10 in Tuesday’s Division One semi-final, after their game on Saturday had been ruled out because of an unfit pitch. The St Helens outfit will face Hindley, who have been awarded their semi-final against Wigan St Cuthberts, who had won 16-6, after the Saints were found to have fielded an ineligible player.
Meanwhile, Higginshaw will take on Clock Face Miners A in Sunday’s Division Five decider. Higginshaw had led Newton Storm 22-0 when last Saturday’s semi-final was abandoned on 49 minutes because of a brawl; NWML bosses have ruled that the result will stand.
