NRL’s ‘new era’ launched in Sydney

With the NRL season starting on 8th March, representatives from each club, including the captain of the reigning Premiers, Cameron Smith, launched the new season in Sydney as the NRL heads into a ‘new era’.

On the new season, NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said: “We have a new agreement with the playing group, we have an agreement with the clubs, we are on the verge of an historic stadium network, while we are also at the very start of a new broadcast cycle which will see the game accessible to more people than ever before.”

“Above all, the on-field game is better than ever.”

“I truly feel it is a great time to be part of the game.”

The NRL begins with St George Illawarra Dragons playing Brisbane Broncos at the Jubilee Oval, a match that can be seen on Sky Sports Arena.
