PAPUA NEW GUINEA rising star halfback Gairo Voro has signed with London Broncos.
Voro impressed in the recent Pacific Bowl success with Papua New Guinea, and his national head coach Jason Demetriou has taken the 22-year-old to London with him for 2026.
It’s been a whirlwind number of years for Voro, with the silky playmaker coming through the ranks at the PNG Hunters to debut in 2024.
He played just one game that year, but took the Queensland Cup by storm this year, registering 19 appearances and scoring one try.
The Broncos are already piecing together a highly-competitive squad for their first season under Demetriou.
The former South Sydney Rabbitohs head coach has brought Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Siliva Havili and Dean Hawkins over from the NRL, whilst there will be large PNG contingent at the Cherry Red Records Stadium too.
Along with Goro, Finley Glare and Morea Morea have also penned deals with the capital club, whilst Nene Macdonald is being linked with a move there from Salford Red Devils.
The Broncos missed out on a place in Super League for 2026 despite new owners Darren Lockyer and Grant Wechsel’s efforts to earn one of two places via an independent panel.
Both men have reiterated their commitment to ensuring that London will once more have a Super League side in the near future.
