Parramatta Eels have joined Salford Red Devils in being fined points for salary cap breaches.
The NRL side have been docked 12 points for their offences, with the NRL’s CEO Todd Greenberg telling the players about the charge.
“I really feel for the players at the moment,” Greenberg told Sky News.
“They were shattered. I wanted to tell them face-to-face this morning. I wanted them to hear it from us.
“I feel for them, they have worked so hard.”
