A National Anti-Doping Panel has handed down a two-year suspension to Ross Bevan, a player registered with South Wales Scorpions, after traces of the anabolic androgenic steroid Drostanolone were detected in a sample provided at an out-of-competition test conducted on February 9 2015.
Bevan, who played rugby union for Nelson RFC before signing for South Wales Scorpions in February 2015, had not played for the League 1 club.
He is banned from all competition from February 26 2015 until midnight on February 25 2017.
