BRAD ARTHUR insists Leeds Rhinos have time to recover from a damaging second defeat in succession.
After their hopes of winning the League Leaders’ Shield were crushed by an emphatic defeat to Wigan Warriors, coach Arthur wanted a positive response from his side back at home to lowly Hull FC.
Instead he got an 18-12 defeat which leaves the Rhinos searching for answers with a fortnight to prepare for a home play-off semi-final.
“I’m disappointed with the result,” said Arthur.
“We were better physically than last week and dominated possession and field position, but our edges were poor.
“We made enough chances, but our selections of kick and pass and our skills weren’t good enough.
“They scored from a drop-out – there wasn’t enough urgency.
“The season’s been good but not the last two weeks, but we’ve got plenty of time to recover and focus on that. We’re 80 minutes from Old Trafford.
“I don’t think it matters who out opponents in the semi are – we need to focus on ourselves.”
