Daryl Powell didn’t hold back as he fumed with his Castleford side following their 58-16 hammering at the hands of Hull KR.
Castleford were way off their best as they went down comfortably to KR, who last week lost to Championship side Oldham in the Challenge Cup.
And Powell was not in the mood to defend his players.
“This ranks with the Warrington performance this season,” referring to their heavy defeat earlier in the season.
“I thought Hull were excellent right from the start. They beat us in every department but it was clearly unacceptable in our approach and things have to change quickly.
“We spoke about our home form but that was embarrassing. It was just ridiculous.
“It’s not what we stand for and there is a lot of work to be done before next week’s home game with St Helens.
“The more we went after it, the worst we got.”
