Lee Radford has admitted he couldn’t find much fault in Hull’s opening round victory over Leeds on Sunday.
The Black and Whites were impressive 30-4 winners and caught the eye with a superb display.
“I think in round 1 you want to get off to a win and to do that off the back of a lot of the things we’ve been working on in pre-season was pleasing to see.
“There weren’t too many disappointments, so it would be hard to pick too many minuses. We adapted to the conditions really well in the second half and got behind our kicking game.
“It’s the kind of side I’d looked to recruit. In the areas we wanted to improve we got blokes and now it’s about improving that and keeping healthy.”
Radford reserved special praise for winger Ratu Naulago, who scored twice and created another try.
“It’s a funny one, because it’s his second season playing and his first was a whirlwind,” said Radford.
“Some of the tries and finishes we saw were breathtaking. He’s got off on a great foot tonight. He’s a player who can go for periods without touching the ball, but you know he’s going to get on the scoresheet. He just needs one touch to get on the scoreboard. He can be right up there.”
