Reports have emerged in Australia that Sam Burgess’ sensational move back to Rugby League and back to the NRL with South Sydney has STALLED.
Burgess signed a deal earlier this month to come back to the Bunnies just a year after leaving for rugby union, but reports Down Under are saying that the NRL has reportedly refused to register Burgess’ big money deal with Souths, with the club being ruled to be over the salary cap.
Seven Network revealed that even after the Rabbitohs had come to an agreement to release Dylan Walker, the Bunnies were still found to be over the salary cap for 2016.
Souths are yet to comment on the situation.
