Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane has admitted that the return of Sean O’Loughlin to their side on Friday night will be a “big lift”.
O’Loughlin has only made two appearances in Super League this season for the Warriors, but looks set to return to the side following knee surgery against the Tigers.
Wigan have been in impressive form of late, but Wane believes that the return of O’Loughlin will give Wigan even more out on the field as they look for a fifth consecutive win at the DW Stadium.
“Having Lockers back is a big lift,” said Wigan coach Shaun Wane. “He adds a lot to our side, as everyone knows.
“He plays like he’s in three positions – he does his work in the middle, hits the ball up like a front-rower and he can ball-play as well, which gives us more options and takes the pressure off Matty Smith and George Williams in the halves.”
