RFL chief executive Nigel Wood has confirmed they will launch a full investigation into the ugly scenes involving Salford fans and players.
Red Devils players Junior Sa’u and Justin Carney were seen in the stands after cries for help from those being squashed at the front of the stand following a fracas.
Salford owner Marwan Koukash has already vowed to identify and ban those accountable, and the RFL have promised to launch their own investigation.
My apologies to @Giantsrl and to the decent fans. The Thugs responsible will be identified and dealt with. There is no place in RL for them.

“We will conduct a full investigation into the events that took place in the away section of the crowd at the game between Huddersfield and Salford,” said Wood.
“We do not condone violence of any kind and will ensure that anyone found to have acted improperly is dealt with accordingly.”
The unsavoury scenes overshadowed a fantastic win for Salford as they returned to winning ways with a 26-24 victory over Huddersfield, who remain bottom of Super League.
