Leeds Rhinos defeated the USA Pioneers invitational side 76-0 at the University of North Florida today in a game that was effectively a training run for the Challenge Cup holders.
The Rhinos scored 15 tries, with Tom Briscoe grabbing four of them, and Ryan Hall two, while the other nine tries were scored by Kallum Watkins, Mitch Achurch, Robbie Ward, Josh Walters, Jimmy Keinhorst, Liam Sutcliffe, Stevie Ward, Joe Eichner and Brad Singleton
Goals were added by Danny McGuire (3), Ash Golding (3), Liam Sutcliffe and Terrance Williams.
Eichner is a student at the University of Florida who plays for the local Jacksonville Axemen, and he was given a guest run with the Rhinos for part of the second half.
Surprisingly the game was played in largely wet condition, in continuous rain.
The Rhinos, who are on a pre-season camp at the University of North Florida, reported no injury concerns after the game.
