DONCASTER coach Richard Horne believes his side could have done more to challenge London Broncos on Saturday.
Try doubles from Watson Boas and Bureta Faraimo proved insufficient against the unbeaten leaders, who scored twelve tries in a 68-18 victory at Ebbsfleet’s Kuflink Stadium.
There was a rare occurrence when the Dons’ Isaac Misky was red-carded for his involvement in a confrontation on the half-hour mark, despite not having even come off the interchange bench.
Horne admitted at full-time that London’s superiority had played out but said: “It was disappointing because we believed that we could come here and give a better account of ourselves.
“I don’t believe that we showed the best version of us, but on the other side of it, they’re a very good outfit.
“When we put them under some pressure, we looked like we were going to cause them some problems, but we just didn’t do it enough and then we started making some errors and they started getting some ascendancy in the game.
“We’ve got Swinton away next week (on Sunday) and it’s a big one for us on the back of a loss, so we need to make sure that we react in the right way and have a response to this performance.”
