Leigh Centurions stand-off Martyn Ridyard and Oldham winger Mo Agoro have been voted Kingstone Press Players of the Week.
Every week each coach in both Kingstone Press Championship competitions is contacted to help produce the awards.
Kingstone Press Player of the Week – Martyn Ridyard (Leigh Centurions)
Leigh Centurions stand-off Martyn Ridyard has become the first player to win the Kingstone Press Player of the Week award on consecutive weeks.
Just eight days after earning the accolade with his performance against Rochdale Hornets, Ridyard produced another influential display in the Centurions’ 36-6 win at Batley Bulldogs.
Leigh coach Paul Rowley said: “Martyn has been a class above recently.
“Like any good orchestrating player, he comes up with the big plays when he needs to, whether that be a 40/20 kick or a key pass to put a player through a hole.

“He has great game sense, and that shows through at the times when it matters most.”
Kingstone Press Championship One Player of the Week – Mo Agoro (Oldham)
Winger Mo Agoro earned praise from Oldham coach Scott Naylor after scoring a hat-trick in Sunday’s 38-28 victory over London Skolars.
Agoro has now scored 17 tries in 15 appearances this year.
Naylor said: “Mo was excellent against London, both in attack and defence.
“He missed a game a couple of weeks ago with a knee problem, but he’s getting some confidence back and looking like his old self.
“He had a good game against London, scoring three tries in attack and standing up well in defence. One of his best qualities is dealing with kicks under pressure, and he was good again in that area against the Skolars.”
Kingstone Press Performance of the Week – Workington Town
Workington Town made it seven wins in a row with a dramatic 20-18 West Cumbrian derby win over Whitehaven.
While Town coach Phil Veivers admitted it wasn’t his side’s best 80 minutes of the season, it did continue the competition’s best winning run and lifted them to a season-high sixth in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Veivers said: “There was a lot riding on the game and we were grateful to be on the right side of the win.
“Earlier this season the players didn’t know how to win – in tight games we couldn’t get over the finish line.
“But the turning point for us was the home game with Featherstone. I had my conditioner on the wing, Keiran McAvoy back in the side straight from uni and Kayle Connor on the bench but unable to play, just to make up the 17.”
Kingstone Press Try of the Week – Mo Agoro (Oldham)
Oldham winger Mo Agoro completed his hat-trick against London Skolars with a long-range finish that finally secured victory for Scott Naylor’s men.

Naylor said: “Mo’s last try was excellent – he beat about six people on the way to the line.
“We were only four points ahead with less than five minutes to go, but we got the ball out wide to Mo, he beat his opposite man and then stepped past four or five other defenders on a 60- or 70-metre dash.
“It was a fantastic way for Mo to finish a fine individual performance.”
“People expected us to get smashed but we managed to get the win and have kicked on from there.”
