Salford half-back Kevin Brown has received a two-match suspension from the Rugby Football League.
A yellow card was given by James Child to Brown for a ‘headbutt’ towards Huddersfield’s Jordan Turner, and after a review of this, will now miss tough home fixtures against Leeds and Wakefield.
The incident did spark some controversy, however, with Giants head coach Simon Woolford accusing Ian Watson of influencing the Match Review Panel.
Darnell McIntosh did also receive a punishment for an incident prior to this, but did not incur any penalty notice.
In addition, four players were given warnings for dangerous contact; Thomas Leuluai (Wigan), Ava Seumanufagai (Leeds), Matty Costello and James Bentley (Saints).
