Sam Tomkins fined after public urination

New Zealand Warriors full-back Sam Tomkins has been fined by both police and his club after being caught urinating in public on Sunday, just hours after defeating the Gold Coast Titans.

The former Wigan star, 25, was issued with an on-the-spot £55 ($A100) fine by police and was forced to pay an additional £1,015 ($NZ2,000) by his club

“I’m disappointed in myself,” the England international said in a statement released by the club earlier today.

“I thought I was in a secluded spot but realise I still made a poor decision.”

Warriors general manager Dean Bell added: “He knows this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.”
