Sammut set for Workington return

Jarrod Sammut is set to make his first appearance for Workington this season after being named in their 19-man squad.

The exciting half-back, who joined Town permanently ahead of the 2016 season, has yet to feature this year due to a prolonged recovery from double wrist surgery.

However, Phil Veivers has named him in his squad to face the London Broncos at the weekend, a club Sammut spent a brief amount of time with last year.

Workington are yet to win a game this season and are joint bottom of the table with rivals Whitehaven.

They face a London side that are recovering from a narrow defeat to Leigh Centurions last week, ending their unbeaten start to the season as a result.
