Sleepless nights ahead, says Chester

Chris Chester isn’t expecting much rest in the near future, admitting he’ll have ‘a few sleepless nights’ this week.

He opened up following his side’s hard-fought 12-8 victory over Widnes in the Qualifiers, Rovers’ third straight victory in the competition.

The Robins head to Wembley for the Challenge Cup final this weekend and Chester has plenty of decisions to make ahead of the showpiece event.

“Seven or eight weeks ago we struggled to raise a side so it’s certainly a nice headache to have,” said Chester

“It was a gritty performance today, really determined. We just kept turning up for each other. Our young right edge, Marsh, Ollett and Slater were very strong all game.

“We got off to a good, physical start. Mitch (Allgood) had a really good stint and we put them off their game a little bit.”
