Soward arrives in London

Jamie Soward has arrived in England as he closes in on making his second London debut.

The Australian halfback joined the Broncos for the second time earlier this month as Andrew Henderson attempts to boost his side’s Super League promotion hopes.

Soward, 31, could make his debut as early as Sunday when the Broncos take on top-four chasing Batley, however a more realistic date could be a week later, when the Broncos travel to The Shay to take on Halifax.

Meanwhile, another mid-season signing at the Broncos, Api Pewhairangi, has spoken of his delight since joining the club.

The 24-year-old has impressed since making his debut in May, and he has discussed his happiness at how things have gone so far.

“My time here has been surreal,” he told the club’s official website. “I’m really enjoying life in London and I feel as though I have found a new home here with a great club and a good bunch of lads and staff.

“It’s been an easy transition – the lads have welcomed me in and I haven’t had any problems. I feel very blessed to be a part of a good group of men.

“Personally, I think the team has been performing well every week which has made my job a lot easier. As I’ve said, I’m just really enjoying being back in rugby league and actually enjoying my footy, which I’ve struggled with in the past few seasons.”
