St Helens half-back Luke Walsh will return to the fray this weekend, with the Australian set to feature for the Saints in their huge clash against Widnes Vikings.
The return of Walsh is good news for Saints, at a time when they have just lost another overseas half-back for the remainder of the regular season. Lance Hohaia faces two months on the sideline with injury, meaning Gary Wheeler will get the nod to feature alongside Walsh against the Vikings this weekend.
“Walshy will play this week. Getting him back will put Wilko (Jon Wilkin) back into the back row and Gaz Wheeler into the halves,” coach Nathan Brown said.
“Coming into the back end of the year we just want to play well, that’s all. If we can play well and have our share of luck it can take us into the play offs in a good position and playing with a bit of confidence. That’s the key for us.”
