Bookmakers Ladbrokes have installed Wigan Warriors as 2/5 favourites to win the First Utility Super League Grand Final when they play St Helens at Old Trafford on Saturday (6.00pm).
St Helens are priced at 2/1 to beat their biggest rivals and clinch a first title since 2006.
St Helens hooker James Roby and Wigan half-back Matty Smith are 6/1 favourites to win the Harry Sunderland Trophy as man of the match, a feat Smith achieved in the Warriors’ 30-16 victory over Warrington Wolves at Old Trafford 12 months ago.
Wigan’s Sean O’Loughlin (8/1) and Blake Green (9/1) are third and fourth favourites for the prized trophy.
Wigan winger Josh Charnley is priced at 7/1 to score the opening try at Old Trafford, with team-mate Joe Burgess (8/1) and St Helens flyer Tommy Makinson (10/1) also strongly fancied to put the ball down first.
Wigan are rated as 4/6 favourites to score first, with St Helens offered at 11/10. The first scoring play of the Grand Final is priced at 200/1 for a St Helens drop-goal, and 150/1 for a Wigan drop-goal.
