Sylvain Houles hails Jake Shorrocks after Toulouse make light work of Huddersfield

SYLVAIN HOULES was delighted with Toulouse Olympique’s 36-16 win over Huddersfield Giants.

The French side broke the deadlock on four minutes and never looked like losing as Houles’ men proved far too strong for the Giants.

“I thought we played really well, it’s the first time I think we have played a well-controlled Super League game from start to finish,” Houles said.

“I am really proud of the boys, from 1-13 they all played their part.”

Houles gave special mention to Jake Shorrocks, with the halfback controlling proceedings with a superb kicking game.

“Jake was tremendous and he led the team very well and we were very clinical,” added the coach.

“We had a couple of patches where we were put under pressure when we went down to twelve men but we handled it pretty well.

“It was a very good win for us and Jake was key to that.”
