This week’s 21-man Super League squads and squad changes

Here are the squad lists issued so far for this week’s Betfred Super League fixtures in Round 3 of this season’s competition. The changes shown are from the 21-man squads that were announced for last week’s Betfred Challenge Cup games.

Several key players are set to return to their sides, or, in the case of Kyle Eastmond, to make his debut for Leeds Rhinos this evening against Wigan, who have confirmed that we will not see Bevan French making his seasonal debut tonight at Headingley, despite him having been named in the initial 21-man squad.

James Bell, recruited from Toulouse Olympique, is likely to make his debut for Leigh Centurions, who are also likely to give a debut to Josh Simm, who has joined them on loan from St Helens.

Also on Friday, Wakefield Trinity will give a seasonal debut to their hooker Kyle Wood, who is expected to considerably sharpen Trinity’s attacking threat around the ruck when they play St Helens.

In Friday’s televised clash between Hull Kingston Rovers and Huddersfield Giants, the Robins are expected to have prop forward Korbin Sims back in their side after he missed their Challenge Cup clash against Castleford Tigers, while the Giants have selected their team captain Aidan Sezer in their 21-man squad, suggesting that he is likely to make his first appearance of the season.

And Saturday’s televised clash from Perpignan will see Catalans hooker Mickey McIlorum return from suspension, while Salford halfback Kevin Brown will return to the side and the Red Devils could also recall loose forward Elijah Taylor, subject to him having fully recovered from a shoulder injury he sustained against Hull FC.

On Sunday Hull FC will host Warrington Wolves without Manu Ma’u, who drops out of their squad, along with Connor Wynne, while jude Ferreira and newly contracted Fijian outside back Mitieli Vulikijapani come into the squad.

The Wolves bring back Gareth Widdop and Mike Cooper, who both missed the Challenge Cup defeat of Swinton, while they are without the suspended Tom Lineham and young forward Ellis Robson.
