WAKEFIELD TRINITY hooker Thomas Doyle has been released from his contract early.
Doyle, 27, has spent the past two weeks on loan with Bradford Bulls, having not played for Trinity this season.
A Bradford product who then spent time with Keighley Cougars, Doyle joined Wakefield following their relegation from Super League at the end of 2023.
He made 29 appearances in their Championship and 1895 Cup-winning season of 2024, but was limited to five games last year and has spent most of this campaign sidelined by injury.
Doyle was out of contract at the end of this season.
Ste Mills, Wakefield’s director of rugby, said: “We’d like to thank Doyley for all his hard work and dedication over the past three seasons.
“He has been a great professional to have as part of the club’s revival and return to Super League. As a club we wish him well on the next part of his rugby league journey.”
