Thunder snap up Parker

Newcastle Thunder have signed centre Dan Parker from Coventry Bears.

Parker, who moved to the Bears from the amateur game, impressed in 2015 scoring seven tries and 34 goals in 21 games.

Now, the former West Hull player is hoping this move can see his semi-professional career progress further.

“Joining Newcastle is providing me the opportunity to play at the next level, make another step forward and to play with a bunch of lads I already know,” said Parker.

“I’m here to work hard and show people what I can do.

“I had a fantastic year at Coventry last year and really appreciate everything they have done for me, but I feel like coming to Newcastle is a new opportunity.”
