The world’s best player, Jonathan Thurston, has revealed his excitement to pick up the prestigious Golden Boot award on Thursday.
North Queensland Cowboys halfback Thurston will be presented the award at Headingley, where the Golden Boot Dinner takes place.
Thurston won the voting by a landslide, coming way ahead of fellow nominees Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Zak Hardaker.
A panel consisting of journalists, pros and former winners of the award picked the winner, which is run annually by Rugby League World.
He became the first player to ever win the award three times last year, however, he might have his eyes on a fourth title.
