Hull FC winger Tom Lineham is closing in on a return to action after suffering a broken ankle earlier this season – but he will not be rushed back into the side.
Lineham suffered the horrendous injury in round four of the season against Bradford, and looked set for a swift return to action a couple of weeks ago. However, the emergence of young winger Callum Lancaster has enabled Lee Radford to be cautious with Lineham’s return – and he admitted it could be two more weeks before Lineham is back out on the field.
“Tom’s not far off. It won’t be this week and probably not the week after but he’s knocking on the door to play,” Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.
“Obviously with the injury he sustained, we don’t want to rush him back or set him back any further.
“It’s important to have his recovery and rehab spot on this time around.”
