Catalans Dragons owner Bernard Guasch claims Sam Tomkins wants to join the club.
Speaking for the first time on the club’s interest in the Wigan star, Guasch also added that Tomkins is keen on a move to France.
Tomkins has been heavily linked with a move to the Dragons, although coaches Shaun Wane and Steve McNamara have been coy on the matter.
However, Guasch made no secret of his, or Tomkins’, desire to make the move happen.
“What I know is that the player and his family want to come to Perpignan and we want it,” he told L’Independant.
“From there, you draw the conclusions you want.”
