Tongan star to make home debut for Rovers

Featherstone Rovers overseas signing Etu Uaisele is set to make his home debut at the Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday for the visit of Rochdale Hornets in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Uaisele made his full debut last weekend as Rovers returned to winning ways away from home in Wrexham against North Wales Crusaders and will be looking for another good performance.

Tongan international Etu said “I’m really looking forward to making my debut at the Big Fellas Stadium. I attended the previous game against Halifax with my family and enjoyed the atmosphere but nothing is like actually going on the pitch in front of your supporters.”

Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said “We are all excited at the prospect of Etu pulling on our shirt for the first time at Post Office Road. We are hoping for a good crowd to welcome Etu and cheer the boys on from the stands and terraces. Response to our ticket initiative of 2014 members bringing a friend for only a tenner or a fiver if they are concession has been strong and we’d encourage as many members as possible to bring a friend.”

A full report of Featherstone’s game against Rochdale Hornets this Sunday will feature in Rugby League Express on Monday.
