Toulouse Olympique confirm Sylvain Houles’ backroom staff

TOULOUSE Olympique have confirmed their backroom staff, who they hope will help to maintain the club’s upward trajectory.

It’s been a hugely successful year for the French club, who defied the odds to claim an eighth-placed Super League finish on reduced funding, finishing above French rivals Catalans Dragons in the process.

Long-standing Sylvain Houles will remain as head coach, and will again be joined by Éric Anselme and Christophe Toustou as attack and defence coaches.

But there is a new addition to the coaching staff in former vice-captain Paul Marcon who has hung up his boots after nine seasons as a player.

Sébastien Garcia remains in charge of video analysis and statistics.

Adam Innes will continue as performance manager, assisted by physical trainers Maya Lespielle and Paul Viguier and GPS data analyst Bruno Mességué, with Elodie Roumagnac remaining as mental preparation coach.

Gérard Batisse and Ryan Caley will serve as chaplains, and Robert Laffite will continue to oversee logistics and stewardship.

The club’s medical staff will be overseen by Lucille Lopez, with physiotherapist manager Lucas Hoguet accompanied by Alexandre Battut, Rudy Blea and Clément Ricolleau.

Sandrine Lacassagne remains as massage manager, with Manon Baran as masseuse, alongside podiatrist Jéremy Ponclet and osteopath Sébastien Bulgubre.

The club said it has “full confidence in this management, which did a fantastic job last season, and offers its professional group the best conditions of preparation and support to approach the 2027 season.”
