Scott Turner has signed a new deal with Oldham.
The full-back joined the Roughyeds on a short-term deal midway through the season from North Wales Crusaders to aid Oldham’s push for survival.
Ahead of their massive relegation showdown with Whitehaven at the weekend, the 22-year-old has signed a new contract, that will see him stay at the club until 2017.
“Coming to a new club so late in the season took me out of my comfort zone and I admit to being a bit apprehensive,” said Turner.
“I soon realised I had no need to be. I’m pleased the club wanted me to commit for another year and I’m looking forward to what’s in store.”
