Two players suspended from Leigh v Bradford game

Two players, one from Leigh and one Bradford Bulls, have been issued with bans after a fiery opening match of the season between the two teams.

Leigh’s Adam Higson has submitted an Early Guilty Plea to a Grade C charge of punching, and will face a two-match ban.

Bradford will be without halfback Harry Siejka for two games, after he also submitted an EGP to a Grade C charge of a reckless strike.

The Leigh player will miss a home clash against London this weekend, as well as an away trip to Doncaster next weekend.

Meanwhile, the Bulls player will miss matches against Featherstone away, as well as another West Yorkshire derby, at home to Hunslet.

Bradford’s Danny Williams will appeal his charge later tonight.
