Wakefield and Jacob Miller agree new two-year deal

Wakefield have received a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Halifax after the club revealed star half-back Jacob Miller has agreed a new two-year contract with the club.

Miller has impressed for the Wildcats during a difficult season for the club, and will now stay with the club until at least the end of 2017 with the extension to the contract he signed after joining from Hull.

“I have enjoyed myself so much, I could not be happier that I am staying at Wakefield for the next two years,” said Miller.

“It has been a pretty tough season for us, but our goal of remaining in the Super League is still alive. I would say that it has helped me grow as a person and as a player.

“I always want to keep learning and keep improving my game, and this will not change going into next season. My aim is to come out even better and stronger than I have done this year and play to my best ability.”

Chairman, Michael Carter is also pleased to have signed Miller until 2017, “I am delighted to have secured Jacob’s services for another two years. Jacob has been a shining light in what has been a difficult season.

“I look forward to seeing Jacob making further progress in the red, white and blue.”
