Wakefield Trinity release Seth Nikotemo

WAKEFIELD TRINITY have released Seth Nikotemo on compassionate grounds.

The 22-year-old forward, who had been contracted until the end of 2027, has not featured since June’s thrilling win over Huddersfield Giants after returning home to Australia for a private matter.

Joining the club following the conclusion of their 2024 treble-winning Championship campaign, Nikotemo scored eight times in 29 appearances for Trinity, five of which had come this season.

“As a club we want to wish Seth all the best back home in Australia,” said Director of Rugby Ste Mills.

“Seth was an extremely well liked and valuable member of our squad and it has been amazing to see him flourish over the last two years.

“As always here at Wakefield Trinity though, we put family first so we have fully supported Seth’s decision to return back home to Australia.

“We wish Seth, his partner Jess and all of his family back home the very best of luck for the future.”
