IT’S WAKEFIELD v Leigh part two as the sides come head to head in the play-off eliminators on Friday, just seven days on from their clash on the final day of the regular season.

Last week, it was Trinity who came out on top 19-8 at the Progress With Unity Stadium to secure fourth place ahead of the Leopards, which brings with it home, and perhaps a psychological, advantage. But they were well beaten when the sides met at this stage of the competition last year, with a 26-10 defeat at Leigh ending a promising campaign on their return to the top-flight.

Both sides make one enforced change following the aforementioned season closer.

Wakefield are without winger Jayden Myers due to concussion protocols, whilst departing Leigh forward Robbie Mulhern pulled up with a calf injury during his side’s defeat.

Daryl Powell has recalled Kian McGann after having impressed for Trinity’s reserves, whilst Ben McNamara comes back into contention for Leigh after featuring for Castleford in their loss at Huddersfield Giants on Saturday.

Wakefield pair Mason Lino and Max Jowitt could bring up 500-point milestones, whilst Matt Davis is in line to make his 150th Super League appearance.
